Da
Southern Boyz (In
Development) Founding members
of the 1999 Hip Hop group from St. Petersburg Florida, the
"Styalistic Kriminals" Robert George Smith &
Bradford Lee Jacox, aka "Krazy Eight" and "Skinacee"
respectively, have reformed under the new name
of "DA Southern Boyz." After a long road back into the
game, which included an unfortunate auto accident that
left their main spokesperson and leader, Robert Smith
(Krazy Eight) a quadriplegic. This unfortunate
accident should have been the end of this young mans
career, but not so. His determination, drive and aspirations
would never be broken. His music would be his saving
grace in the face of all this mass confusion and
chaos that entered into his life in
a split second. Robert took time to adjust the best he
could but among all the pain and frustration that he
felt, depression set in. That's when former band
mate and best friend Skinacee encouraged him to
start rapping again. They both started to write
and record demo's and Skinacee started hitting
the streets the way he knew how. Meanwhile
after hearing a soon to be released CD by
pop artist DeLyn, Robert, back to posing
his leadership qualities, contacted the producers
of her album and suggested Da Southern Boyz write a
rap to her soon to be released single "Waiting." DeLyn
absolutely loved the remix they made but had one request,
that a portion of the proceeds from the remix go to
the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation for research
to cure paralysis.
Check it out!... The song... The artists.... The
story... Its pretty amazing!!!!...
Lottie(In Development) Not many Rap and Hip Hop artist's can step "Outside the Box" and be able to draw the kind of vibe and respect that is required to make and keep them commercial. Those that do, become an instant success and those that don't, crash and burn. Lottie is one of those special artist that finds a way to cross that barrier with ease. Lottie's tracks are party oriented and infectious.
From the first lyric line to the last, Lottie demands that you take notice of his message, "which usually deals with girls and partying." Lyrically, Lottie goes places "cleanly" that other rappers would have a hard time going, without a bunch of beeps or scratches to mute out the Banned words.
On stage, Lottie controls the crowd and works them with true professionalism. Getting everyone involved and in a partying good mood. With cleaver lyric's and an "Outside The Box" approach, Lottie is a welcome, and much needed breath of fresh air to the hiphop/rap music scene. Check back for updates and Big things on Lottie.
