Cory Jacobs: Founder and CEO

Cory's talents excel in Songwriting, Production, Engineering and Arrangements. He has the unique ability to anticipate problems before they occur and to bring out the best of and to inspire others to achieve their potential. He is not only a talented musician but also an astute businessman. Cory oversees all operations of the company.

Cory's roots go back to the early stages of Rock & Roll where he was involved one way or another with the Music Business since he was born. Being raised in a family whose father, Gene Jacobs, managed, produced or worked in some capacity with such talents as; Cory Wells & Danny Hutton of Three Dog Night, Bonnie Bramlett of Delaney, Bonnie & Friends, Cub Coda of Brownsville Station, "Smokin' in the Boy's Room" and Jimmy Ralston “Tina Turner's Guitarist/Songwriter to name a few, Cory learned many facets of the music industry from his father. Cory has logged thousands of hours in the recording studio as a musician and producer to go along with his many live performances as an entertainer… As a musician, Cory performed on music tracks for the Filmways “CBS Movie of the Week, “Return Of the Rebels, starring, Barbara Eden & Jamie Farr and logged many hours in the studio as a musician, performing with such notable artists as Jay Lacy and Rex and Robbie Robinson of “The Four Seasons fame. He would later form several Rock bands.

Cory's business experience spans from 1980’s to the 2000’s when he founded or CO-founded several businesses both in Tampa, Florida and in New York. He founded Auto-Tech (Information Center) during the 1990’s and was a Vice President and CO-founder of Cook-by-Cassette Ltd in New York during the 1980’s. He attended North Hollywood Community College while in Los Angeles before embarking full time on his true love, “Music".

 

Shinji Moroi Founder/Director Music Operations

As Director of Music Operations for SAB Records, Shinji oversees and directs all of the creative aspects of product development and artist repertoire.

Shinji, a native of Osaka Japan, excels in Audio Restoration, Midi Production, Music Composition, Musical Arrangement & Transcription, Live Recording, Production, Engineering, Mixing and Mastering. He has the ability to take a project from concept to radio ready by working with talent throughout the life cycle of a project; including strategic creative consulting while managing complex development recording schedules and production tasks.

Shinji came to the United States in pursuit of his boyhood dream, a music career through higher learning. He attended Palm Beach Community College from 1999-2002 and majored in music. He received several awards while attending PBCC including; Best Non Traditional Student Award (2002)…. Music Club President (2000)…1st Place in Piano (2000 & 1999)…. Presidents Honor (1999)

Shinji went on to graduate from the University of South Florida where he received his Bachelors of Music degree in Music Composition Cum Laude.

A classically trained pianist from age eight Shinji has been performing as a musician in public for the last sixteen years.

While in Florida, Shinji freelanced as a pianist for private functions in such places as the Ritz Carlton and Four Seasons Hotels in Palm Beach.

From 2001-2003, Shinji interned at PURE TONE PRODUCTIONS INC. in Tampa, Florida where he worked with and mastered various recording software such as; Cubase VST/SX, Nuendo, Wavelab, Sound Forge, Reason, ProTools, Vegas Video, Premiere, Windows, Mac OS. Shinji worked numerous concerts at various nightclubs in the Tampa area, engineering live sound for many local and national acts.

Upon completing his studies in the United States, Shinji returned to Japan to establish the SAB Records facility in Okinawa, where ring-tones are transcribed into English and created for major Japanese Multi Media Publishers.

 

Michael Lustan - Director of A&R

Mike is uniquely qualified as head of the A&R department. His experience spans over 40 years and extends from live music and radio to television and movies.

A native New Yorker, his experience in music goes back to the early days of Rock & Roll when he was the guitarist for the first long hair Rock group in Los Angeles “The Enemys. “The Enemys featured lead singer Cory Wells who would later go on to super stardom as a lead singer of ‘Three Dog Night.

The group was signed to Valiant Records by Barry Divorzon who wrote “Nadia’s song the theme from the soap “The Young & the Restless. “The Enemys would later be signed by MGM Records and they would record their hit song “Hey Joe. They performed at many private parties for such notable stars as Dean Martin, Peter Lawford, Judy Garland and Janet Leigh to name a few.

The Enemys were one of the hottest acts in Los Angeles and from June 65 to Feb 67 they were the house band at The Whisky A-Go-Go. (Frank Zappa & the Mothers of Invention often played the Enemys off nights.)

While in LA, Mike appeared with many notable artists. Including such great artists as “Brian Jones and The Rolling Stones at ‘The Action Club and with “The Ike & Tina Turner Review at ‘Ciro’s Lounge.

The Enemys toured with “Sonny & Cher and performed with “Paul Revere & the Raiders at ‘The Pussycat A-GO-GO in Las Vegas.

Mikes experience was not exclusive to concerts but also included TV and the movies appearing in TV shows “The Beverley Hillbillies and “Burkes Law and the movie “Riot On Sunset Strip.

Returning to New York in 1970, Mike Co. founded the first 16 track recording studio. “StarTrak Studios where Rick James and Spyro-Gyra would later record their first hit albums.

 

Frank Teti - Director of Operations

A valued member of SAB Records, Frank handles the day to day operations of the company. Frank's experience in the music business spans over 30 years. He began his career in the early 70’s in Western New York where he learned the music business from the ground up as a protégé of Gene Jacobs who managed, produced or worked in some capacity with such talents as; Cory Wells & Danny Hutton of Three Dog Night, Bonnie Bramlett of “Delaney, Bonnie & Friends, Cub Coda of Brownsville Station "Smokin' in the Boy's Room" and Jimmy Ralston “Tina Turner's Guitarist and many others. Frank logged thousands of hours on numerous recording projects at recording studios in the U.S. and Canada while learning Production.

In 1979, Frank managed the Buffalo R&B group “Topaz (who’s three lead singers, were the back up singers for Rick James). He would later CO-manage the Buffalo rock group “The Beez, whose songs would be used in a Filmways, CBS Movie of the Week. In the early 80’s he relocated to Los Angeles where he worked as a CO-Producer with Gene Jacobs for various artists in the “Screen Music West and “Gazelle studios.

Frank returned to Western New York in the late 80’s and CO-founded and developed Cook-By-Cassette “The World's First Talking Cookbook where he was instrumental in the daily operations of the company. Frank's interest extended to writing and production and in the early 90’s he formed Tempany, a production company specializing in commercial jingles. He worked with and produced recordings of various styles from Rock&Roll and R&B to adult contemporary.

Frank worked in Artist management, Artist repertoire and production. His strengths lie in business operations and creative writing.
